West Erie County, DWCO Randy Leighton, WCO Brook Tolbert

Conditions:

Short of the robins singing, the past few days have looked more like spring and even early summer than the dead of January. Anglers took to the tribs in big numbers on Monday and Tuesday with temperatures in the high 60's and pretty good water conditions. The Walnut Creek Project waters were lined with anglers having no thoughts of putting the rods and reels away yet. Although a bit on the clear side, the West county tribs had enough flow to allow fair to good catches. Temperatures should be returning to reality throughout the remainder of the week although we may be ice free for a while. Current Lake Erie water temperature as of this writing is 32 degrees. Current West County trib conditions as of Tuesday afternoon were clear with some flow.
