OHIO STATE PARKS BOAT DOCK LOTTERY DEADLINE IS AUGUST 31
Dock space available at 13 park lakes statewide

COLUMBUS, OHIO -- Boat owners wishing to rent public boat docks at
Ohio State Park lakes for the 2004 season have until August 31 to enter
lottery drawings used to select renters for available docks, according to
the Ohio Department of Natural Resources (ODNR).
Lottery drawings will be held in September for boat docks at Alum
Creek, Buck Creek, Buckeye Lake, Cleveland Lakefront, Deer Creek, Delaware,
Dillon, Grand Lake St. Marys, Lake Milton, Mosquito Lake, Paint Creek, Rocky
Fork and West Branch state parks. Application forms are now available
through individual park offices.
Completed forms may be submitted in person or sent by certified
mail/return receipt to the parks involved. Hand delivered forms must be
received by 5 p.m., Friday, August 29; mailed forms must be postmarked by
Sunday, August 31.
Lottery applicants must be able to show current proof of boat
ownership or lease at the time of entry. Boats titled to dealerships are not
eligible. Persons selected in the 2003 lottery are entitled to renewal
privileges for up to five years. Dock rental fees will increase beginning in
2004.
Contact the individual park office for specific details on lottery
application procedures and fees, or to find out the maximum size boat that a
specific marina can accommodate.
