Lake Erie Fishing Report: March 20, 2003 Fishing activity remains low on Lake Erie due to the absence of ice and cold water conditions. Some reports indicated that fisherman have been catching steelhead in the smaller tributary streams of Lake Erie; however, conditions on the traditional steelhead rivers not favorable. A few fisherman have been observed on the Maumee and Sandusky Rivers but success has been low. Water temperatures remain in the upper 30's and lower 40's.
